Schwartz files for Re-Election in House District 23
Long-time valley resident and public officer Rep. Andy Schwartz submitted his application for re-election to Wyoming’s House District 23 last week, confirming the announcement he made last month.
“This will be my 5th campaign for elected office in Teton County and it still feels pretty cool when you officially file. I was raised to believe that participating in the electoral process was a citizen’s duty and I guess I’ve taken that pretty seriously.”, Schwartz remarked.
Andy Schwartz, a small business owner and resident of Teton County for 40 years, has a deep civic history. He split time serving on the Teton County and Town of Jackson Planning Commissions from 1992-2000, sat on the Board of County Commissioners from 2001-2012, and was elected as a State Representative for House District 23 in 2014.
The filing period for all primary elections ends on Friday May 27th at which point the campaign season will begin in earnest.
So far, no other candidates have file for the seat
