The Jackson Municipal Court reports that, in May, twenty tickets were written in town for violations of the hands-free device law. In spite of signs at each entrance to Jackson, motorists continue to use their phones and it was the most common violation behind parking tickets.

17 speeding tickets were written and there were 6 blown stop signs.

There were two DUI’s and 4 public intoxication citations.

In all, during May, During the month of May, the court collected $28,113.00 in fines, fees, and forfeitures.
