Town Delays Square Liquor Transfer

by Jackson Hole. Media

The Jackson Town Council wants to delay the discussion of a liquor license transfer tonight because a pending court decision has not yet been made.

In October of 2017, the council initiated revocation proceedings in District Court of The Mattheis Company retail liquor license for the Town Square Tavern.

The council wanted to revoke the license based on inconsistencies in the renewal effort and the existing lease of the premises.

The court, and Judge Tim Day issued a stay on the revocation while the court makes its ruling on the issue.

The council contends that the transfer request cannot be considered until the revocation issue is resolved.

The entity requesting the transfer is Get Loose, LLC, an entity owned by restaurateur Gavin Fine.
