Silicon Couloir is pleased to announce the new Bob Arndt Community Caretaker Award at Pitch Day 2018.
One of the core values at Silicon Couloir is Community Caretaking – growing a culture of stewardship, leadership, participation, collaboration, and citizenship that inspires and enriches our tight-knit, welcoming mountain-town community. The Bob Arndt Community Caretaker award is so named because Bob lived his life guided by the value of community caretaking. From his obituary in the Jackson Hole News and Guide, “Arndt was always looking for new ways to be involved in the community in meaningful ways, which placed him right at the center of the movement to bring organic, healthy food practices to Jackson. His community involvement also led him to serve on the Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling Advisory Board.” Bob also served as an early Silicon Couloir board member.
Bob grew companies and worked on initiatives that made our community healthy, strong, and a better place for all of us. The Bob Arndt Community Caretaker Award is presented to that entrepreneur or venture whose person/team and company best embodies the core values and mission of Silicon Couloir, which is to align entrepreneurship with community vision to promote a diverse economy and healthy environment for current and future generations. The winner will receive the opportunity to be mentored by a team of experts in Silicon Couloir’s new mentoring program, TEAMS.
