The Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum (JHHSM) presents its annual Old Time Christmas program, an evening of holiday storytelling and music with a historic twist, at the Wort Silver Dollar Showroom on December 12th, 2018.
This year the evening includes two different shows that will each take place in the Silver Dollar Showroom. From 5:30 – 6:15pm a family-friendly show will include story-time, fiddle music, a sing-along, and cookies and cocoa. Beginning at 7pm, an “adult-friendly” (21+) show will include a variety of musicians, classic Jackson Hole holiday stories, and a specialty holiday cocktail. Performers include the Teton Fiddlers, Cathedral Voices, Byron Tomingas, Allan Morton, Tasha Ghozali, and Rob Sidle.
Also new this year, the JHHSM will be raffling off two exciting prizes: an original framed Abi Garaman, photograph of the Moulton Barn; and a Wort Hotel Suite Dreams Package, which includes a one-night stay in a themed room and breakfast for two. Raffle tickets are one for $5 or five for $20. Raffle tickets are available at www.jacksonholehistory.org and at the event. All proceeds directly benefit the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum, specifically educational programming and exhibit development.
“We are excited to continue the tradition of Old Time Christmas at the Wort – a celebration of holiday cheer, Jackson Hole history, and good music. We are so grateful to the Wort Hotel and our fantastic performers for making this night possible,” says Executive Director, Morgan Albertson Jaouen.
This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and first-come first-serve. Make sure to come early to grab a seat, join or renew your JHHSM membership, buy some raffle tickets, and get a drink from the Silver Dollar Bar.
