Nominate Your Favorite County Volunteer

by Jackson Hole Radio News

Teton County has no shortage of volunteers who put in countless hours of free service each year to the community. Indeed, the depends on the time and talent of local citizens to serve as volunteer board members, who help inform the direction of operations and programs within the county.

This Fall, the county wants to recognize one of those county-appointed volunteer board members at an open house that will highlight volunteer opportunities. Starting now through August 31st, members of the public living or working in Teton County can nominate a Teton County Board Volunteer, so long as that volunteer is a current board member.

Criteria for nominations include the volunteers’ role, impact, engagement and inspiration to other board members and the community. Prospective nominees must also be a current board member at the time of nomination. The Teton County Board of County Commissioners will review each submission, weighing each category equally and the candidate who best meets all criteria will be presented with the Volunteer Board Member of the Year Award at the open house in late September.
