Another new fire has shown up in the Greater Yellowstone area: this one is in a remote section of Yellowstone National Park’s northeast corner. The Wahb Fire was discovered by a back country patrol on Sunday near Cache Creek. It was last reported at ½-acre with minimal activity. The fire will be monitored for its resource benefits. If it becomes more active, smoke may become visible from the Lamar Valley. This fire like many others was lightning caused. Including this new fire, there are currently four active fires in the park.
