Leland Votes Against HB74

Even though Leland Christiansen voted against it, the Wyoming Senate Friday passed a highly-amended version of House Bill 74. The bill will now go to a conference committee. Christiansen says he voted against the measure since he believes the bill only clouds the issue as it is addressed in current Wyoming law. He says the question comes down two issues: the legal standing of a gay marriage and the standing of plural marriages. With that in mind, Christiansen says he believes the existing law “probably leaves us in the best place.”

UW Announces Fall Graduates

Seven local students graduated from the University of Wyoming at the end of the  2010 fall semester.  The university listed those achieving Bachelor of Science Degrees as Colby Bancroft, Andrew Knapp, Nicole Rice, Sean E. Ryan, and Arianne Bryant.  Meanwhile, Gary Lindeburg was conferred a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Chad Ransom received a certificate.
