Jackson Fourth in State Volleyball

After an exciting and successful season and then a hard-fought state competition, the Jackson Lady Broncs emerged from state finals in fourth place.  The girls first downed Torrington on Thursday, but then fell victim to fourth place Powell on Friday which then pitted them against Rawlins who had been in first place in the eastern division.  It took five sets to determine the winner of that final game which determined which team was third and which was fourth.  Powell, who had been 4th seed in the western division, emerged as the surprise state champion out of the eight team field.

The Broncs See A Tough End To The Season

Star Valley romped over Jackson Friday night in the final regular season football game of the season.  The Broncs limped away with a 56 to 6 loss, but still will participate in the post-season playoffs.  That competition begins Friday with fourth seeded Jackson facing top seeded Douglas in the first game of the playoffs.  Meanwhile, the Lady Broncs head to volleyball playoffs Thursday night facing Torrington.  Jackson is number two seed in the western 3A division while Torrington is third in the eastern part of the state.
