National Gasoline Price Average Rises

While Jackson Holes gasoline prices remain unchanged, the cost of gasoline nationwide has taken a sharp upturn.  Amerine Woodyard of the US Energy Information Administration says the most precipitous increase was in the Gulf Coast region where prices spiked an average of 9.3¢.  She says the U.S. average retail price for regular gasoline rose to $3.38 a gallon on Monday — up 7.1¢ from a week ago, based on the weekly price survey by the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
