Teton Valley Idaho Unemployment Drops

While Wyoming’s unemployment rate last month was reported to have dropped to 4.6%, Idaho was not quite as fortunate.  The Idaho Department of Labor reports that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate there actually rose a tenth of a percent to 6.1% in May.  However, Teton County, Idaho reported a 5.2% jobless rate – somewhat lower than neighboring Teton County, Wyoming’s 6.4%. Teton County was one of twenty Idaho counties boasting unemployment rates below 6%.

Gasoline Price Drops Nationally, Rises Locally

Scouts Endorse More Open Membership Policy

National Boy Scouts of America Thursday approved a resolution to remove the restriction denying membership to youth on the basis of sexual orientation alone. The vote endorsed the resolution which also emphasized that Scouting is a youth program, and any sexual conduct, whether heterosexual or homosexual, by youth of Scouting age is contrary to the virtues of Scouting. A change to the current membership policy for adult leaders was not under consideration and so the original policy for adults remains in place.
