Congressional Leaders In Jackson Today
The Wyoming Congressional Award begins its 20th anniversary celebration with an invitational golf tournament in Jackson Hole today. Wyoming Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso, and Representative Cynthia Lummis will be on hand for the golf tournament, which is the main fundraiser for the non-profit organization. Participants of the event consist of company sponsors and individual donors. The highest level of company sponsorship is $20,000. Companies at this level of sponsorship for 2012 includeAlpha Natural Resources, FMC, Marathon and UPS. The Congressional Award is the only award presented by the United States Congress. It is a non-competitive program for American youth between the ages of 14 and 23. To achieve the Award, youth must meet goals in four areas, one being community service.
