Jackson Town Council and the Teton County Commission jointly approved three items to be placed before area voters on the Specific Purpose Excise Tax ballot in November.   The two governing bodies have examined the proposals over the past weeks and during a special meeting yesterday afternoon, determined to place about $32¼ million dollars in proposed community projects to the voters for the special funding.  Those three include phase one of the closure and environmental mitigation and monitoring of the Teton County landfill, the proposed purchase of the US Forest Service property along with the roadway extension of Mercill Avenue, and construction of the proposed Highway 22/West Broadway Pathway.  Work is still under way on the exact wording of the ballot to be placed before the voters.
