Smokey Weekend Due To Idaho Fires
Where is all the smoke coming from now? Wind currents from the west have been picking up smoke from some very large Idaho fires and carrying it into our area. Currently, about 232-thousand acres near Salmon, Idaho are burning causing evacuations there and threatening structures while another fire involving about 120-thousand acres is burning east of Boise. While there are other smaller fires in Idaho and Wyoming, most of the smoke appears to be coming from the large complex fires according to the National Weather Service.
