Construction Begins North Of Jackson

road milling

Preparations are being made this week for the repaving of about three miles of US Highway 26/89/191 north of Jackson.  Wyoming Department of Transportation officials say Evans Construction of Jackson will be milling and overlaying the highway between the north city limits and summit of Fish Hatchery Hill the week after Labor Day.  Between now and then, crews will be conducting some preparatory shoulder work and motorists are asked to exercise caution when driving by the work areas.  Once the repaving work begins, motorists can expect delays of 20 minutes or less as traffic through the work area is reduced to a single lane guided by a pilot car.  Completion of the project is anticipated in late September.
