Yellowstone Fire Danger Drops
More than a half inch of rain quieted three lightning caused fires in the central portion of Yellowstone National Park and none of the fires have grown since Thursday night. Although the fire danger may still rebound, it has for now dropped to Very High. The rainfall has also prompted the park to remove fire restrictions. None-the-less, park officials urge visitors to remain very careful with fire, and local officials remind residents and visitors that fire restrictions remain in effect in Grand Teton National Park, Bridger Teton National Forest and throughout Teton County.
