Shaw Construction Company of Jackson has been selected for just under a half-million dollars in improvements at the Snow King Sports and Events Center.  According to Jackson Mayor Mark Barron, their bid of $473-thousand dollars came in at the lowest of the three bids submitted.  He adds that part of the improvements will be made possible by a Wyoming Business Community enhancement grant of $250-thousand with the remaining $250-thousand to be matched locally.  Among the upgrades will be electrical, mechanical and plumbing upgrades along with repairs to the roofing and expansion of spaces available for small meetings.  Construction is to begin on September 17th and be substantially completed by February first.
