Teton County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the death of 16 year old who was a resident of C-V Ranch in Wilson.  Araceli Mascarenaz was reported to Teton County Sheriff’s officers Thursday as having been found face down under water in a bathroom and not breathing.  Jackson Hole Fire/EMS and Teton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene where CPR was already in progress by C-V staff.  Jackson Hole Fire/EMS took over life saving measures and Mascarenaz was transported to St. John’s Hospital before being flown by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC).  Life saving measures continued at EIRMC, however Mascarenaz was pronounced dead later that night.  Initial investigation by sheriff’s deputies indicate the incident was the result of a serious medical event and was not the result of foul play.
