Airline Ridership Slips In August
Ridership on the airlines serving the valley fell once again last month, although the decline was relatively small. According to the monthly report to the airport board, one percent fewer people boarded planes headed out of Jackson Hole during August and three percent fewer arrived on flights serving the valley. This, despite a 19% increase in the number of flights in and out of Jackson Hole. Altogether, the declines contributed to a four percent decrease in departures and one percent decrease in arrivals at the airport year-to-date. This summer has seen five airlines serving Jackson Hole with flights to nine major cities nationwide.
