Road Near Palisades Reservoir Closed

The Snake River-Calamity Road north of Palisade Reservoir will be closed from the junction with Gravel Flats Road to near the junction of  Bear Creek  due to construction there between now and late fall. Access to the Calamity area will be available over the Palisades Dam.  The project is in conjunction with the new bridge being built by Bureau of Reclamation below Palisades Dam.  The new bridge will be open for public use as soon as construction is complete, as early as sometime today.  Public vehicle access across the Palisades Dam will be permanently closed on December third unless winter weather causes an earlier closure.
