GTNP Foot Bridges Being Replaced
Two popular foot bridges in Grand Teton National Park will be unavailable for the next several weeks while they are reconstructed. Park Spokesperson Jackie Skaggs says one is at the south end of the Jenny Lake Parking Area accessing the Exum mountain Guides office and the other is between String and Leigh Lakes accessing west shore campsites and the hiking trail along Leigh Lake. Skaggs says those bridges were definitely due for replacement. Construction began yesterday and Skaggs says hikers will be able to access the new bridges by the beginning of next summer’s hiking season.
