LHC Fire Winding Down

Efforts continue building lines on the southern end of the Little Horsethief Canyon Fire today with that fire now being declared 82% contained.  There has been no increase in the fire’s perimeter since the weekend.  Currently, the firfighting  force has been reduced to 473 people and support equipment is being gradually reduced as well.  Meanwhile, the public is being invited to meet firefighters involved in the Little Horsethief Canyon Fire, learn about the risks involved in firefighting and tangible ways you can show your appreciation beginning at 7:00 pm at Snow King Center.  The evening will include video presentations of firefighting efforts on wildland fires.
