New Fire Burning on Bridger-Teton South of Jackson

The Rock Creek fire was reported Saturday afternoon around 4:30pm on the west side of Munger Mountain on the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

The 5-acre fire is being suppressed by interagency crews as it burns in light fuels including sagebrush and aspen approximately half a mile south of Red Top Meadows.  There are currently no road or trail closures at this time but recreationists are urged to use caution in the area.

There are 2 helicopters, 3 engines and 1 water tender on scene and additional resources have been ordered. The cause of the fire is under investigation. For additional information, visit www.tetonfires.com
