More Trails Reopen After Fire
The list of trail closures in the vicinity of the Little Horsethief Canyon Fire has been revised as that fire continues to cool and activity of fire personnel is refocused. The revised closure encompasses the total burned area of the fire and includes all non-motorized roads and trails within the fire’s perimeter as well as the whole Wilson Canyon trail from the trailhead to the intersection with the fire perimeter. The entire length of the West Fork of Game Creek Trail is also closed. Forest officials explain the decrease in fire suppression efforts and a reduction in fire activity have enabled fire managers revise the area closure opening more area for public use. Still, visitors are asked to observe the posted signs identifying those trails which are open.
