The Wyoming Department of Transportation Friday announced plans to deal with the sections of  highway 22 where the bicycle lanes were narrowed to 3½ feet when turning-lanes were put in this fall.  According to a statement from WYDOT, the work is to begin as early as next spring and involves shoulder work on two 1,000-foot sections of the road – one near Brown’s Curve and the other near the entrance to Bar Y Estates west of Jackson.  District Construction Engineer Ted Wells says the department plans to widen the shoulders there to 8-feet to accommodate a path for bicyclists while still accommodating two 11-foot wide drive lands and a 10-foot center turning lane.  That work, he said will be completed by June 30th.
