The Cody Police Department, Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance in finding the subject responsible for the abduction of an 11-year-old girl earlier this week in Cody.  The girl had been enticed into the subject’s vehicle by a request for help to find his missing puppy.  Authorities describe the subject as a white male, approximately 55 to 60 years old, six feet tall, 185 to 200 pounds with short light-colored hair and a well-trimmed beard.  He was driving a  2004 or 2005, white, 4-door, Toyota SR-5, 4-Runner, with a removable silver over black cargo box on the roof.  Authorities now say the luggage carrier may have since been removed.  The suspect, who may have left the Cody area, is considered armed and dangerous.  Authorities ask that anyone spotting the individual to contact the FBI national tip line: 1-800-CALL-FBI.
