Wilson Man Dies On Hike
A 73-year-old Wilson man died yesterday while on a hike on Mount Glory. Teton County Search and Rescue was summoned after Alexander Zvegintzov had hiking up Mt. Glory with a female companion Sunday afternoon and collapsed about 2/3 of the way to the top of the mountain. Incident Commander Tim Ciocarlan says immediate response came from a SAR member who was in the vicinity, a doctor who was on the trail and three personnel from the county’s EMS who hiked up to the stricken man. Others from Search and Rescue were ferried to the top of the mountain on the interagency helicopter which made multiple trips from the highway and the mountain carrying rescuers and equipment. Ciocarlan says CPR was initiated without success and the victim was pronounced deceased at about 1:45 pm. Teton County Coroner Kiley Campbell says while the exact cause of death has not been determined, it was considered natural causes.
