Voter Registration Closing Soon
Wyoming Secretary of State Max Maxfield has announced that Monday, October 22, is the last day to register to vote ahead of the November 6 election. Maxfield explains that voter registration closes 14 days before the General Election so that county clerks have time to prepare poll books for the 301 polling places throughout the state. Maxfield urges those who are eligible to vote but who have not yet registered to do so by contacting the local county clerk’s office. Maxfield says that those who are unable to register by the October 22 deadline have one more chance to register–at their polling place on Election Day, November 6. In order to register, a person must be a U.S. citizen, resident of Wyoming, and at least 18 years of age by election day. Persons convicted of a felony must have had their civil or voting rights restored before they can register.
