The Jackson-based Snake River Fund announced this week that it would be donating over $3,000 worth of specialized water rescue equipment to Star Valley Search & Rescue for 2012.  New items include: dry suits, rescue ropes, tethers, knives and pumps.  Meanwhile,  Dave Hansen Whitewater and Jackson Hole Whitewater have volunteered to repair and refurbish Star Valley Search and Rescue’s inflatable rescue boats.  Snake River Fund officials say their donation is in keeping with the Fund’s mission to promote stewardship of and recreational access to the Snake River watershed in Wyoming, with an emphasis on partnerships, education and public outreach.
