Local Gasoline Prices Stagnate

gas pump

While gasoline prices nationwide have dropped over a dime from a month ago and are continuing their decline, the average price in Jackson has remained unchanged for several weeks now.  According to AAA Auto Club’s Fuel Gauge Report, the national average for a gallon of unleaded regular is now $3.75 per gallon, down from $3.81 a week ago.  Meanwhile, Wyoming’s average price is now $3.72 per gallon while the average of Jackson Hole’s prices reported by Motor Trend is $3.88 – unchanged from one month ago.  In Teton Valley meanwhile, the average price has dropped seven cents in the last month and is now also $3.88 per gallon.  AAA reports that regional gasoline supply and distribution issues are impacting the price at the pump despite the price for a barrel of crude steadily dropping.  Currently, the lowest prices for gasoline are primarily found in the south-central United States.
