South Park Shooting Case Closed

Jackson Police have closed the case involving the shooting last month which injured 19-year-old Clancy Shaffer in the Cottonwood subdivision on the southwest side of  Jackson. Based on the state lab report and other evidence collected in the case, police have determined that no one besides Shaffer was involved. 
An official release from the Jackson Police Department says the case is now being forwarded to the Teton County Prosecuting Attorney who will be asked to consider filing charges of making a false police report against Shaffer. Jackson Police Chief Todd Smith says he anticipates further information in the case will be made available by the middle of next week.

    REALLY?!?!?!!!!! Should we be surprised? He and his dad should also be responsible for paying for all the time wasted by our police and investigators on this case.
