Meiners

A Memorial Service and Celebration of life for Theo Meiners will take place in Teton Village Saturday at 3pm followed by a celebration at the Mangy Moose Saloon.  Meiners died September 20th in Anchorage, Alaska. The 59 year old Colorado Springs native had moved to Jackson Hole in 1978 where he spent 33 years as an alpine guide at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, and later founded the Alaska Rendezvous Heli-Guides, based north of Valdez on Thompson Pass, Alaska, which he ran with his son and daughter. A Memorial Fund has been set up in his name to benefit a non-profit avalanche awareness cause.
