A second gray wolf hunt area in the Jackson region has closed due to the mortality quota having been reached yesterday. A second and final wolf was killed in the Crystal Creek hunt management area – area 9 – which was closed by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department shortly after 2:00 pm when the kill was reported. Meanwhile, over half of the established quota for trophy game animals has been killed so far. According to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department 27 animals had been killed in ten of the 12 designated hunt areas, with three of those areas now closed due to limits having been met. Meanwhile, 71 have been killed in Idaho and 31 in Montana.
