Teton County Leads State In Voter Turnout
Wyoming Secretary of State Max Maxfield says preliminary figures indicate that more than 240,000 Wyoming residents—57 percent of those eligible to vote–cast a ballot Tuesday. He says that’s comparable to the turnout during the 2008 election which was the last presidential election; and surpasses the turnout in the 2010 election. Here in Teton County, County Clerk Sherry Daigle says more than 11,500 voters cast their ballots out of 11,952 registered voters which is 96.2 percent of the eligible voters. In 2008 more than 97% of the 12,361 registered voters in that year voted in the general election.
