Christmas Tree Permits On Sale
The snows this weekend may start people thinking of the holiday season ahead, Bridger-Teton National Forest has also announced that Christmas tree permits are available for purchase from any of the Bridger-Teton National Forest District Offices now. Those offices are open from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. The Forest will also be selling Christmas tree permits at the Interagency Visitor Center in Jackson seven days a week, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Forest officials explain that as in the past, Christmas trees up to 12-feet in height require a ten dollar permit while tree permits for evergreens between 12 – 25-feet are $15.00. Any tree over 25-feet requires a $25.00 permit. Maps of areas where tree-cutting is permitted will be issued along with the permits.
