Wyoming Wolf Hunt Largely Supported

UW Seal

A University of Wyoming survey indicates there is strong support for hunting wolves throughout the state.  UW Political Science Professor Jim King says four out of five state residents agree with the plan to allow the hunting of gray wolves in Wyoming.  King says he doesn’t he doesn’t know if that’s because they treat it as a game animal or if some people who would be opposed see this as a measure of control – but the opinion was pretty consistent across the state. Meanwhile, Wyoming Game and Fish officials report that as of Monday, 33 wolves had been killed out of the 52 trophy animals that will be permitted this year.
