Two more areas within trophy game wolf management units are near their hunt quotas after the weekend’s hunting activities there.  According to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, 33 wolves have now been taken out of the 52 to be permitted this year.  Among them, six of the seven permitted in Area 8 of the Jackson Unit have now been killed.  That area is a large area located just north of Wilson and Jackson and extending north and east as far as the Continental Divide at Togwotee Pass.  At the same time, seven of the eight permitted in Area 2 located in the Soda Butte Creek Drainage of the Absaroka Unit have been killed.
