Barrasso Elected To Republican Senate Leadership

With Senator John Barrasso’s reelection as Wyoming’s junior senator, he has again been reelected to a leadership position among his Republican colleagues on Capitol Hill.  During a special election by Republican leadership, Barrasso was elected to another term as the Chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee.  As such, Barrasso is the fourth ranking member of the Republican leadership in the US Senate.  Barrasso explains that the committee advances Republican policies by providing positions on legislation, floor debate, and votes. The committee also provides in-depth analysis on specific issues, policy solutions and alternatives, and strategic guidance.   Barrasso also continues to serve as Chairman of the Senate Western Caucus.
