Idaho Fish and Game is seeking information from the public that could lead them to whoever was responsible for two poaching incidents in the Upper Snake River Region where two of the slain animals were left to waste.  The first incident took place in October near St. Anthony, but the second occurred near Swan Valley November 9th.  That incident took place near and on private property about two miles west of Swan Valley near Papoose Creek.  Game officials say the perpetrators killed a cow elk near Taylor Well Road and then drove through a closed ranch entrance gate and onto the private property after legal shooting hours where they killed a second elk.  Due to the time between the kill of the elk and their finding, nothing could be salvaged.  The state asks that anyone with any information that would be helpful in prosecuting the incidents to contact them on Idaho’s “Citizens Against Poaching” hotline.
