The Wyoming Department of Transportation has announced plans to close the Afton Driver’s Services location in Afton December 12th and 13th and reopen on December 20th at a new office location at the Thayne Community Center.  The hours for Driver’s Services will remain the same: 9:30 am until noon and again 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm on Thursdays and Fridays of each week. WYDOT officials say the new location will offer residents a more centrally located office, with motorcycle testing on site and better parking. In addition, the site offers upgraded handicapped accessibility. Furthermore, they point out that the new office will be less costly for WYDOT and will provide better opportunities for advanced telecom and Internet options.
