Alleged Credit Card Thief Charged
Teton County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a 23-year-old Massachusetts woman after she allegedly used credit cards from a stolen purse to make purchases around the community. According to Sergeant Tom Combs, the Teton County Sheriff’s Office had received a report that a female victim had her purse stolen while attending a party on February 8th in Teton Village. The victim also reported that the credit and debit cards she had within the purse had been used to make purchases at several local businesses. Combs says Investigators reviewed surveillance video from different locations which showed Kaitlyn Williams of Rowe, Massachusetts using the stolen debit and credit cards and forging signatures of the victim. Williams, who has been living and employed in Teton Village for the winter season, was arrested by deputies late Tuesday afternoon and booked into Teton County Jail. She appeared in the Teton County Circuit Court Wednesday where she was arraigned on charges of forgery, credit card fraud, and larceny.
