Palisades Ranger District of Caribou-Targhee National Forest invokes its Winter Travel Regulations this weekend. Recreationists are being reminded to stop at the local Forest Service office or the Eastern Idaho Visitor Center in Idaho Falls and obtain information on the winter travel regulations showing areas they can or cannot go. Most of the Palisades District is open to cross country travel by snowmobiles, except big game winter range areas such as Fall Creek and along the South Fork of the Snake River.  Kelly Canyon and Kelly Canyon Ski Area are also closed to snowmobiles. The Forest Service also reminds winter users to stay on designated routes in big game winter ranges.
