Post Offices Close Early Today

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds – but they do take Christmas and New Year’s Day off.  While mail will be delivered as normal on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, most retail locations will be closing as early as noon. Revised hours will be posted at each affected offices. Customers may also call 1-800-ASK-USPS to get the specific hours for their location. Outgoing mail in blue collection boxes should be deposited before noon. Post Offices will be closed December 25th and January 1st. Express Mail only will be delivered on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. All Post Offices will be open and regular mail delivery will resume the following days.
