Health Grants Offered
The Wyoming Department of Health’s Office of Multicultural Health, is currently seeking applications for its new Mini-Grant Program for funding from $100 to $1,499. To qualify for one of the grants, projects must deal with improving Wyoming’s health disparities for minorities or underserved populations such as Hispanic, Native American, disabled and special populations, uninsured individuals or underinsured populations. Additionally, the projects must have clearly stated goals and objectives. Department of Health Spokesperson Kim Deti says applicants may include public and state-controlled institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments or organizations; nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status other than institutions of higher education; and nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status other than institutions of higher education. Deti says applications will be accepted until May 31st.
