Gingery Wins Fellow Legislators’ Respect

December 26, 2012 Jackson Hole, State of Wyoming, Teton County No Comments
Gingery

With the state legislative session right around the corner now, Teton County Representative Keith Gingery appears to be drawing the praises of his fellow lawmakers.  In an article that appeared in the Casper Star Tribune this week, several lawmakers pointed to Gingery’s prolific offering of bills largely aimed at keeping the state’s legislation untangled.  Among the lawmakers quoted is Natrona County Attorney Mike Blonigen who says too often, there are many statutes that legislators pass which end up conflicting with an existing law.  He says in such cases, the laws need to be adjusted a bit and Gingery takes it upon himself to come up with the legislation to accomplish that.  Representative Mary Throne of Cheyenne who is also an attorney says “…someone with Representative Gingery’s experience and expertise, if he thinks he can handle them, the more power to him.”  The 2013 legislative session begins January 8th.
