The Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling Center is urging people in the community to have their discarded Christmas trees composted when they are through with them.  Christmas Trees may be dropped off to be composted at the Teton County Trash Transfer Station Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm, and Saturdays from 9:00am until 1:00 pm.  Trees will be accepted from December 26th through January 31st.  For Town of Jackson Residents, Christmas trees may be dropped off at the Rodeo Grounds, adjacent to the big blue recycling bins, through January 31st. Christmas tree composting is a free service of the recycling center.  However, Mike Dukart of the center reminds residents before dropping the tree off, be sure to remove all lights, tinsel and ornaments so that trees may be composted, rather than sent to the landfill.
