Manhunt Under Way in Jackson

Units from multiple agencies including the National Park and neighboring Idaho are combing area for a man who reportedly held up a bank in Jackson around 12:38 pm today. The bank robbery has occurred at US Bank on Powderhorn Lane in Jackson. Police were called to a robbery in progress and responded to the call within two minutes, but the suspect had already left the scene on foot in an unknown direction. Initial description is a white male, 6’2″ tall, about 350 lbs, muscular and not obese, Short hair, possibly shaven but had an English style hat on, possibly tan with light green checkering, wearing round dark Oakley glasses, has a goatee, has a strong South African accent and was wearing a sport coat and tan pants. (see photo)  Suspect may have gotten into a blue SUV, possibly a late 90′s Suburban. If you see someone matching this description, DO NOT APPROACH THEM and call Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at 307-733-2331 immediately.
