12 Seek Appointment to Jackson Town Council

The application period to fill a vacancy on the Jackson Town Council closed Friday with 12 applications for the position being vacated by Councilwoman Melissa Turley who stepped down from the Council in order to serve on the Teton County Board of Commissioners.  Stephen McDonald, Jon Stuart, Emy diGrappa, Don Frank, John Stennis, Kari Cooper, Mark Nowlin, Mike Gierau, Phillip Cameron, Kelly Egan, Lisa Carranza, and Chandler Church have all submitted letters of interest. Mayor Mark Barron says he is impressed with the quantity and  quality of the applicants who represent varying experience and unique skills.  Council intends to determine next steps in the selection process including setting a special meeting to interview the applicants, deliberate and make an appointment at their regular meeting tonight.
