Flu Hitting Wyoming Hard
The cases of flu seem to be ramping up around the state now. Go to any retail outlet in Jackson and you will find yourself hard-pressed to find cold and flu remedies on the shelves right now. A report by the Wyoming Department of Health shows Wyoming currently has about 2685 confirmed cases of the virus and may end up breaking the record set in 2009/2010 of more than 3100 cases. The worst hit county is Campbell with 423 cases followed by Laramie County with 373. Teton County currently has 77 confirmed cases. Health officials point out that your best defense against contracting flu is to be rested, avoid contact with people who are ill, and wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water.
