Mountain Lion Hunt Area Closed
A mountain lion hunting area south of Jackson was closed Sunday because the annual mortality quota of six lions was reached. Hunt Area 29 generally includes the Hoback River drainage with the southern Gros Ventre Mountains and northern Wyoming Range. It also includes the Snake River Range south to the Snake River Canyon. Wyoming Game and Fish Spokesman Mark Gocke says the hunt area will not reopen again until next season.
